The The Vietnam Exposition Centre is an expansive exhibition facilities clad in a 24,000-ton steel dome.
The Vietnam Exposition Centre, said to be largest facility of its kind in Southeast Asia, has opened its doors, accelerating Hanoi’s emergence as a viable MICE destination.
The new venue spans close to 90 hectares, taking in expansive plazas, parks and outdoor exhibition areas. Located in Dong Anh district, the northeastern gateway to Hanoi, Vietnam Exposition Centre enjoys easy access from Nội Bài International Airport and major transportation routes.
The Vietnam Exposition Centre is expected to welcome up to 60 million visitors each year to Hanoi.
Transport links are set to be improved further with the upcoming opening of the Tu Lien Bridge across the Red River, which will provide a fast connection from Hanoi’s city centre.
A visual spectacle in the Dong Anh district, the centre’s design was conceptualised to combine tradition and modernity. Within the striking 24,000-ton steel dome exterior, the Kim Quy Exhibition Hall features a flowing dome inspired by the legendary ‘Golden Turtle’ (Kim Quy) of Vietnamese folklore.
With Hanoi known for its cultural and historical draw, Vietnam Exposition Centre will position exhibition delegates close to the Co Loa Citadel, a historic site associated with the founding of Vietnam.
At the time of its opening, it hosted the ‘80 Years of Independence - Freedom - Happiness’ exhibition, which brought Vietnam's history, its people and recent achievements to life.
