Pan Pacific Hotels Group (PPHG) has appointed Kung Teong Wah as cluster GM, overseeing Parkroyal Collection Pickering, Singapore and Parkroyal on Beach Road, Singapore.

Kung will retain overall leadership of the Pickering property, which he helmed as GM most recently.

With his new appointment, he will assume strategic oversight of Parkroyal on Beach Road. Property GM Damian Tan will continue in his role, and remain responsible for the hotel’s day-to-day operations “while advancing long-term growth and development initiatives across both properties”, PPHG announced in a statement.

PPHG CEO Choe Peng Sum said: “Under his stewardship, Parkroyal on Pickering has strengthened its position as a leading lifestyle luxury hotel in Singapore. His expanded role reflects our confidence in his ability to guide both properties through the next phase of growth, transformation and sustained excellence.”

As GM of Parkroyal Collection Pickering, Kung he led a series of operational, sustainability and workforce initiatives. These included the renovation and repositioning of the hotel’s ballroom and meeting venues, integrating sustainable design elements and technology to enhance their appeal as premium event spaces.

Kung brings more than 30 years of hospitality experience to the role and has previously also served as GM of Parkroyal on Beach Road, giving him prior familiarity with the property’s operations and brand positioning.

During his tenure at Parkroyal Collection Pickering, he also spearheaded several workforce transformation initiatives aligned with Singapore’s Hotel Industry Transformation Map, working in collaboration with partners such as the Singapore Tourism Board, Workforce Singapore and the Singapore Hotel Association. These efforts included job redesign, digital adoption and data-driven manpower planning, contributing to productivity gains and improved service delivery.
