Constellar is conducting a key management reshuffle to drive a new growth strategy for its venue management division.
Effective 1 July, Chua Wee Phong, who currently serves as chief
executive (markets), will move over to the company's venue management
division as chief executive (venues) arm.
Constellar's venue management arm currently manages Singapore EXPO, the country’s largest purpose-built MICE venue.
The new appointment for Chua, who has been leading the exhibitions
arm of the business since February 2021, comes at a time when events in
Singapore are embarking on a robust rebound.
At the Singapore EXPO, according to Constellar, confirmed venue
bookings for the second half of 2022 are presently at 60% of 2019
pre-Covid levels. Chua is expected to be instrumental in evolving the
venue business as it embarks on a new growth strategy to drive recovery.
Constellar CEO Jean-François Quentin will continue to oversee all
matters related to its group of companies. He will also now cover the
role of chief executive (markets) with a greater focus on the
development of Constellar’s events business in Asia.
