Singapore-based events and exhibitions management firm Constellar has announced the appointment of Chua Wee Phong as its interim group CEO. Chua, who previously served as the company's chief executive (venues), will oversee all matters related to its group of companies with immediate effect.

Prior to joining Constellar, Chua had an impressive track record in the events industry. He built the exhibition business for Singapore Press Holdings into one of the biggest event companies in Singapore, demonstrating his ability to drive growth and deliver value to clients.

Chua's appointment comes as Constellar's current group CEO, Jean-François Quentin, prepares to step down from the company after 30 June. During his tenure, Quentin has built a growth strategy for Constellar, focusing on recovering business once Covid-19 restrictions are lifted. He oversaw the expansion of Constellar's events business beyond Singapore and accelerated the sustainability roadmap for Singapore EXPO by incorporating renewable energy.
