Connexus Travel's new GM eyes corporate travel opportunities

The agency looks to tap on Eric Lau's expertise to expand its services on a regional and global basis.

MICE and corporate travel operator Connexus Travel has appointed Eric Lau as general manager, with a remit to oversee digital transformation and the growth of Connexus’ corporate travel business in the region, as well as global expansion.

Lau has more than 18 years of experience in the travel and aviation industry, focusing on people management and strategic partnerships. He was previously at Travelport, where he spent more than a decade in a range of senior positions, most recently as general manager, agency commerce for Travelport’s Greater China operation.

During his time there, Lau oversaw and managed strategic commercial partnerships with travel agencies including OTA, TMC and with airlines in the North Asia region. Lau has also worked for Cathay Holidays and Cathay Pacific Airways.

Connexus Travel, formerly Swire Travel, was established more than 70 years ago as the first travel agent registered in Hong Kong.
