When McDonald’s China needed a perfect venue for its biggest-ever Annual Restaurant General Managers (RGMs) Convention, only one destination could match the scale – Sands Resorts Macao. From 11 to 14 March 2024, over 6,000 RGMs convened for their first nationwide, in-person convention in six years, marking the largest event of its kind for McDonald’s China.

Size meets substance

The McDonald's China RGM Convention showcased the impressive scale and versatility of Sands Resorts Macao as a host for large-scale business events. Spanning three world-class properties – The Venetian Macao, The Parisian Macao, and The Londoner Macao – the event provided 7,200 room nights and a luxurious stay for the delegates.

At the heart of it all, The Venetian Macao’s Cotai Expo transformed its 14,000 sqm venue into an electrifying event hub, accommodating 3,200 attendees daily. The grand gala dinner took place in the 6,577 sqm Venetian Ballroom, complete with Macao-inspired installations like the traditional pedicab and the Venetian gondola.

Sands Resorts Macao pushed creative boundaries to deliver a truly immersive event. With its cutting-edge facilities and audiovisual solutions, the use of 3,800 sqm of LED screens and a 108m runway ensured every attendee had a front-row view of the entertainment action – featuring viral sensation Cheng Xiang and Mandopop star Victor Wong, alongside a runway showcase of McDonald’s China’s latest uniforms.

Adding to the spectacle, the Sands Macao Resorts team designed a stunning welcome area adorned with a glittering 'M' sign and silhouettes of Macao landmarks such as the Ruins of St. Paul’s, Macau Tower and A-Ma Temple, which become instant social media sensation among the delegates.

Service with a golden touch

Both McDonald’s China and event organiser Beijing Pico Exhibition Management Co., Ltd lauded Sands Resorts Macao’s meticulous planning and seamless execution. “Thanks to the support and help from Sands Resorts Macao, McDonald’s China RGMs enjoyed a warm stay in Macao and left with a lasting impression of your professionalism and impeccable service,” said Jacky Yang, senior account director at Beijing Pico.
