Sands Resorts Macao kicked off its Asia-wide roadshow series ‘The Fabric of Macao’ with two exclusive VIP events in Beijing and Shanghai on 19 and 21 March 2024.

Exclusive VIP events held in Beijing and Shanghai on 19 and 21 March 2024 marked the beginning of this roadshow series, captivating the travel industry, meeting planners, and the media with Sands Resorts Macao’s unique blend of luxury, entertainment, and innovation.

The showcase cast a spotlight on Sands Lifestyle and its deep-rooted connection with Macao. Each of its seven pillars was portrayed as a sumptuous fabric with a distinct motif, symbolising various facets of the lifestyle experience.
The delicate Portuguese ‘azulejos’ tiles embody the timeless beauty of Art and Culture; iconic cobblestone pavements represent the Destination of Macao; a symbolic Chinese good luck knot signifies the Connection of people, places, and experiences; glistening gold accents capture the essence of the glamorous Fashion scene; earth-toned lotus flower patterns evoke a sense of Health and Wellness; wine-inspired motifs celebrate the rich Gastronomy of the region; and radiant sequin designs bring to life the vibrant world of Entertainment.
Travel industry representatives, meeting organisers, and media partners in Beijing and Shanghai were treated to an enchanting array of entertainment performances seamlessly weaving together Macao’s attractions, traditions, and culture.A Macanese feast for the senses
Guests were treated to a VIP experience in the evening as they arrived in style, passing through a tunnel adorned with fabrics displaying the prints of 'The Fabric of Macao', designed to evoke the vibrant atmosphere of the streets of Macao. Accompanied by a curated blend of music from Macao DJ Ziyang and an instrumentalist from the applicable host city, attendees were transported to a world where tradition met innovation.
The event offered guests numerous opportunities for engagement and exploration. Renowned Macanese artist Ada Zhang showcased her talent by creating a playful painting combining landmarks from Macao and the host city. Attendees also had the chance to savour traditional Dragon’s Beard Candy at the Yau Kei Candy Live Demonstration Station.
During the dinner, guests were treated to three captivating entertainment performances that illuminated the evening. The dynamic dance spectacle, ‘Welcome to Macao’, whisked attendees to iconic landmarks such as the Ruins of St. Paul’s and Senado Square.
Captivating moments: A performer in an orchid-covered dress played classical strings to contemporary tunes while a runway show presented Macao’s esteemed fashion designer Nuno Lopes’ latest collection.Meanwhile, ‘Bloom’, inspired by the latest art installation ‘Floating Flower Garden: Flowers and I are of the Same Root, the Garden and I are One’ at teamLab SuperNature Macao, showcased Sands Lifestyle’s fusion of classic and innovative elements. This segment featured a striking performer adorned in an enchanting orchid-covered dress, accompanied by a graceful classical string arrangement of contemporary tunes, along with a runway show presenting the latest collection from Macao’s esteemed fashion designer Nuno Lopes.
The grand finale, ‘Londoner Takeover’, exuded British pride as the iconic Scots Guards, Beefeaters, and Bobbies proudly waved the Union Jack against the backdrop of The Beatles’ ‘Come Together’, concluding the evening with utmost finesse and elegance.
