Environmental consciousness is no longer a trend but a necessity, and GICC stands as a grand-scale, creative facility that has embraced sustainability as a guiding principle in both its design and operations.
The GICC’s efforts have already been internationally recognised, being the first MICE venue in Macao to achieve the Gold Certification from LEED® as well as the Silver Certification from EarthCheck. Its innovative design incorporates “green walls” along the façade, strategically planted to keep temperatures cooler in summer and reduce heat escape in winter. Within its interiors, GICC boasts energy-saving features such as a highly efficient energy centre, which includes a central chiller plant, and an advanced heating, ventilation, and air conditioning system to keep its carbon footprint to a minimal.

The versatility of these spaces played a pivotal role in attracting USANA Babycare to pick GICC to host its 10,000-pax mega sales convention in April 2023. The event seamlessly utilised the Galaxy Arena, the auditorium, the expo hall and private meeting rooms, showcasing GICC’s ability to cater to diverse needs. In addition, the venue also served as a backdrop for significant events such as the 2023 Guangdong & Macao Branded Fair, among other major corporate gatherings.
