Mercure has entered the Philippine market with the opening of Mercure Mactan Cebu.
Located within the Mactan Newtown township, around 15 minutes from Mactan-Cebu International Airport, the hotel sits directly across from Mactan Expo, the area's largest convention facility with a 3,000-seat theatre.
The hotel features 550 guestrooms and suites, alongside dining venues, a swimming pool, spa, fitness centre, steam and sauna facilities, and landscaped outdoor spaces.
For meetings and events, Mercure Mactan Cebu offers 11 meeting rooms and event spaces. Its largest venue spans 512sqm, accommodating up to 540 delegates in theatre style or 300 guests for banquets. Additional function spaces cater for gatherings ranging from 30 to 180 attendees. The property also offers access to Mactan Newtown Beach, where a beachfront Ceremony Garden and Glass Pavilion provide venues for weddings and social events.

Designed to reflect Cebu's heritage, the hotel incorporates local influences throughout its interiors, including artwork inspired by Lapu-Lapu and design elements referencing traditional craftsmanship. Its food and beverage venues showcase Cebuano and Filipino cuisine, while locally made guitars feature in the lobby lounge as a nod to the island's musical heritage.
