IHG Hotels & Resorts has announced the opening of The Aarlis Hotel Panchkula, marking the debut of its Vignette Collection brand in both India and Southwest Asia.

Located at the foothills of the Shivalik range in Haryana's Panchkula – part of the Chandigarh Tricity region – the 145-room hotel combines access to the area's commercial centres with leisure attractions including Morni Hills, Sukhna Lake and the UNESCO-listed Capitol Complex.

For the MICE market, The Aarlis Hotel Panchkula offers approximately 2,790sqm of indoor and outdoor meeting and event space. Facilities include the Aura Grand Ballroom and a range of flexible function venues suitable for conferences, weddings and social events.

Guests can choose from five dining venues, including an all-day restaurant, speciality Indian and European restaurant, rooftop venue, cocktail bar and patisserie. The hotel also features a spa, fitness centre, swimming pool, salon and lounge, while guestrooms are equipped with smart-room technology including automated climate control, lighting and curtain controls.

Sudeep Jain, managing director, South West Asia, IHG Hotels & Resorts, described the opening as “a landmark moment” for the brand in the region.

“As the brand's first hotel in India and Southwest Asia, it signals our intent to bring distinctive, character-led stays to one of the world's most dynamic luxury and lifestyle markets,” he said.

The hotel also incorporates Vignette Collection's signature brand programmes, including a daily cultural ritual inspired by local traditions and a community initiative supporting women artisans through partnerships with local non-profit organisation Chhoti Si Asha.

Vignette Collection, IHG's luxury collection brand, launched in 2021 to bring together independent hotels with distinct identities under the IHG umbrella. The brand has grown to 34 hotels across 17 countries, with a further 45 properties in the pipeline.
