Avani Kota Kinabalu is set to open in the first quarter of 2027.
Minor Hotels will open Avani Kota Kinabalu in the first quarter of 2027, marking the Avani brand’s debut in Sabah and adding a new 352-key lifestyle hotel to East Malaysia’s hospitality market.
The property will form part of The Logg Luyang, an integrated development by KTI Landmark in the Luyang neighbourhood. It will serve as the development’s hospitality anchor, combining accommodation, dining, wellness and event spaces within a mixed-use setting.
Located approximately 10 minutes from Kota Kinabalu International Airport, the hotel gives guests access to the city’s commercial districts, residential areas and visitor attractions.
The hotel will feature five dining and social venues, including an all-day dining restaurant serving Sabahan, Malaysian, Korean and international cuisine, a contemporary Chinese restaurant focused on Sabah Hakka heritage, a flexible Lobby Lounge, The Pantry for bakery items and coffee, and rooftop SEEN Restaurant & Bar.
Avani Kota Kinabalu will also offer dedicated meeting and banquet facilities for conferences, weddings, corporate functions and social events, supported by accommodation and dining venues.
