Communicating in real time, KEN-san introduces planners to venues in Kobe.
Kobe is giving MICE planners a new way to explore the destination – and it comes with an AI personality.
The city has launched MUSEUM FICATION KOBE/JAPAN (MFK-JAPAN), a consortium and digital platform for MICE planners.
Developed by the Kobe City Meetings & Incentive Travel Promotion Consortium, the platform brings together venue intelligence, local operators and an AI-powered curator to simplify event planning in and beyond Kobe.
One highlight of the platform is KEN-san, an AI character that acts as a virtual curator for the destination. Available 24/7 and communicating in English, KEN-san introduces planners to Kobe’s collection of unique venues and answers questions in real time.
Beside the AI personality feature, the platform also has sections for Unique Venues, Operators and DMCs. Registered buyers can receive tailored proposals based on event objectives, group size and budget, with planning support that extends beyond Kobe to include nearby destinations such as Osaka and Kyoto, allowing for multi-city programmes built around specific themes.
MICE professionals can register as buyers and access the platform on the official MUSEUM FICATION KOBE/JAPAN website.
