Bangkok's Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC) has been selected by the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA) as the venue for the 62nd ICCA Congress, which will take place from 12-15 November 2023 under the theme of ‘It Starts With Us’.

This prestigious event marks a return of the ICCA Congress to Thailand, with previous events held in 1985 and 2007. However, this will be the first time it is hosted at the new QSNCC, located in the heart of Bangkok. During ICCA Congress 2023, attendees will get to experience a versatile convention centre spanning an extensive 300,000sqm, including retail and other public areas.

QSNCC takes pride in its commitment to creativity, sustainability, and a wide range of possibilities, making it an attractive choice for business events like ICCA Congress. From the innovative design of the building itself to all of the hidden features that make the venue a sustainable convention centre, it’s easy to see why major events are choosing QSNCC.

Besides extensive meeting spaces, QSNCC also boasts a variety of retail and F&B outlets.

The world-class convention venue features eight exhibition halls, four conference halls, four plenary halls, 50 meeting/break-out rooms, and welcoming public spaces, including retail and F&B outlets. It offers modern amenities such as VIP rooms, user-friendly loading docks, state-of-the-art audiovisual equipment, extensive catering facilities, and beautiful landscaping. QSNCC also offers eco-friendly disposal of waste, local sourcing and sustainable meeting packages.

Sustainability is a core focus of the new QSNCC. During construction, measures were taken to prevent pollution and reduce the carbon footprint by repurposing construction waste into landfill. The venue boasts LED lighting, real-time energy use monitoring, and abundant natural light to reduce electricity consumption.

For its eco-conscious practices, QNSCC won the title of the best sustainability initiative for convention centres at M&C Asia Stella Awards 2023. It also received the LEED-NCv4 Silver Certification, which is administered by the US Green Building Council. Meanwhile, the creativity and spirit of Thai art, culture, and design are evident throughout the new QSNCC, allowing visitors to enjoy and learn more about Thai culture through art pieces adorning both the venue’s interior and external landscaping. Thai artwork adorn the common spaces of QSNCC, providing visitors with the opportunity to learn more about Thai culture in a convention centre.

What sets QSNCC apart from many other MICE venues is its transformation into an appealing destination in its own right. Attendees discover spaces for retail and various services, along with a multitude of Thai and international dining options.

Furthermore, QSNCC's direct connection to Bangkok's underground MRT Blue Line promotes the use of public transport, and its proximity to the newly expanded and renovated Benjakitti Park provides a green escape for event attendees.

After a day of meetings, ICCA Congress 2023 delegates can step out into Bangkok, the world's most visited city, to explore endless possibilities.
