The MICE² Macao x Hengqin is a partnership between the Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) and the Economic Development Bureau of Hengqin to introduce the 'multi-venue event' concept to international MICE planners.
Known as a leading destination for its established infrastructure and
rich cultural heritage, Macao is poised to further enhance its global
MICE appeal with the MICE² Macao x Hengqin joint promotion platform.
Launched in June 2023, this initiative between the Macao Trade and
Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) and the Economic Development
Bureau of Hengqin embraces the "multi-venue event" concept, allowing
organisers to seamlessly access a wider array of venues, accommodations,
and attractions across both cities, facilitating scalability and event
success.
At The Meetings Show Asia Pacific 2024, IPIM will be showcasing the
concept with a total of 14 exhibitors, including local hotels,
conference service providers, as well as resort and leisure enterprises
across both cities.
Recent conferences have already tapped into Macao’s unique and diversified MICE environment.
The 2024 UFI Asia Pacific Conference, which brought together more
than 300 MICE industry leaders to Macao in March, saw a mixture of
thematic activities such as expert panels and leader summits during the
two-day conference. UFI will launch two professional trainings in Macao
as it further establish Macao as its global training hub.
Looking ahead, IPIM’s “MICE Bidding and Support Team” aims to secure more international MICE events for the city.
