MEET Taiwan has gamified the push for sustainability in the MICE
sector with the launch of its ‘Greentopia: Sustainable MICE City’
proposal competition on 4 August.
The contest calls for business professionals from anywhere in the
world to submit creative proposals for sustainable MICE events that can
be held in Taiwan based on sustainability guidelines set by the United
Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
Five winners will win a shared cash prize of US$30,000 and they will
also become the first digital citizens of Greentopia, MEET TAIWAN’s
virtual MICE universe. Two other participants will also be awarded ASUS
laptops.
This contest will be conducted in two stages:
Stage 1: From August 4, anyone who wishes to
participate can click on ‘Join Competition’ on the campaign’s website and fill up the online application. After which, MEET Taiwan will
contact qualified applicants for them to advance on to Stage 2.
Stage 2:
By October 19, qualified applicants should submit a proposal for a
sustainable MICE event in Taiwan. Five winners will picked and they will
each get a share of the US$30,000 prize and a Greentopia e-Citizenship
Card.
