Business Events Tokyo has introduced five MICE technology types in the newly published Tokyo MICE Technology Guidelines.

The latest MICE-relevant technologies listed are: centralised programme management (for international conferences); design-integrated encoding; AI guidance through digital humans; AI chat and surveys for participants and staff; as well as reception support, voice announcements, and interpretation receiver services.

The five additions join other technologies from robots to metaverse exhibition halls and spatial production in the guidelines – bringing the number of technologies listed to a total of 28.

In the report, each technology item is accompanied by detailed explanations, practical examples of how they may be utilised, and a supplier list to facilitate MICE planners' process of obtaining quotes and adopting the technology.
