Incentive planners looking for new ideas for incentive travel can look towards Brisbane, Australia's new 'global city', which caters to both the wild and mild thrill seekers.
The third-largest city in Australia now offers planners the chance to create fun incentive travel experiences with a range of activities covering nature, adventure and dining activities to choose from.
Cuddle a koala at Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary
Give delegates something to talk about back home with a visit to the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary, which offers everyone a chance to get some cuddle-time with koalas in exclusive small-group sessions. Home to 130 koalas, the sanctuary is Australia's first and largest, and is conveniently located less than 30 minutes from the centre of Brisbane.
Make waves while kayaking the Brisbane River
Ensure that delegates get to enjoy first-class views of Brisbane on a guided kayak tour, which will take groups past natural splendour and city highn-rises alike. Bookings can be made for day, sunset or night tours, and drinks by the riverside can also be arranged to complement the experience.
Meet amidst nature's green
Impress delegates by holding meetings or events at this outdoor bar and restaurant fronting the Brisbane river. The waterfront venue can accommodate groups of 20 to 200, and offers an extensive food and drink menu designed by Australian chef Matt Moran.
With the opening of W Brisbane in March next year, planners will have more choice venues to comfortably host guests.
More details on incentive travel experiences in Australia will be debuted at Dreamtime 2017, Tourism Australia's incentive showcase organised in partnership with Brisbane Convention Bureau.
To be held in Brisbane from December 3 to 6, the show will feature 89 Australian business events incentive products and destinations.
