Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC) has released the
first in a series of videos to showcase the experts and creators of
MCEC’s offerings and initiatives.
The first episode features Sustainability Manager Samantha Ferrier as
she takes viewers behind MCEC’s five-year sustainability strategy. It
reflects MCEC’s commitment to minimise environmental impact and to
create actionable solutions for generating substantial industry change.
Ferrier has spearheaded several successful waste reduction and
recovery initiatives at MCEC, including commitments to eliminate
unnecessary single-use plastics and to divert 90 percent of waste from
landfill by 2025, as well as to achieve 100 percent reliance on
renewable energy by 2028.
Developed in collaboration with Melbourne video production agency
Monster and Bear, MCEC goes behind the scenes with a team member in each
installment to find out more about their innovative work. The series
will run as part of a multi-channel marketing campaign supporting MCEC’s
wider ‘home of the unconventional' brand campaign.
Other videos in the series feature MCEC Digital Event Manager Mark
Higgins and Executive Pastry Chef Alessandro Bartesaghi showcasing their
expertise, with more to come throughout the year.
