The Ritz-Carlton, Langkawi has appointed Vincent Pauchon as GM, succeeding Mafalda Costa Tavares, who has led the luxury resort since 2024.

Pauchon joins the Malaysian property from The St. Regis Maldives Vommuli Resort, where he served as GM. Before that, he was director of operations at Phulay Bay, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve, having previously held the role of director of sales and marketing at Mandapa, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve. Earlier in his career, he held leadership positions at Laucala Island Resort, The Legian Bali and The Chedi Club Tanah Gajah.

An alumnus of Institut Vatel – International Hotel Management School, Pauchon brings experience across luxury resorts and the Ritz-Carlton Reserve portfolio. At The Ritz-Carlton, Langkawi, he will oversee the resort's operations with a focus on guest experience, wellness, sustainability and team development.

His appointment comes amid a reimagination of the property’s wellness offering. Pauchon's vision focuses on curating transformative, personalised experiences, the hotel said in a statement.

Beyond luxury hospitality and wellness, the resort some 966sqm of event space to the Malaysian destination.
