Ovolo Hotels has appointed new general managers for two of its properties in Australia: Kieron Hunt at Sydney's Ovolo Woolloomooloo, and Gabriel Polias for Ovolo Nishi in Canberra.

Hunt enters his role with 20 years of industry experience with major hotel names, the likes of The Murray, Peninsula Hotels, InterContinental Hotels, Hilton Hotels and Chelsea Football Club, across London, Dubai, China, Japan and Australia to name a few.

Further down South at Canberra, Polias comes from previous roles including as hotel manager at Sofitel Sydney Darling Harbour, and as director of operations for Sydney Harbour Marriott Hotel.

Both hotels also have new hires for its F&B division, as the group prepares for Australia's slowly opening borders.

Ovolo Woolloomooloo's Food and Beverage General Manager, Adam Leonardi, who has helmed operations at Crown Sydney, as well as Accor and Pullman Hotels; and Ovolo Nishi Executive chef, Matthew Bentley, who will tap his experience in global properties and Michelin-starred restaurants to elevate Canberra's only refined vegetarian dining experience, Monster Kitchen and Bar.
