Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group has boosted its global sales leadership team with the appointment of three industry veterans.
Raphael Lanfant joins from Alibaba in a newly created position as the
hotel group's global VP channel sales, responsible for overseeing the
global revenue growth and the effectiveness of the newly formed global
channel sales and distribution organisation.
Based in Singapore, Lanfant is a French/Australian national with over
20 years of experience in travel related businesses, including
commercial and distribution leadership roles for Expedia Group.
Appointed VP global sales partners is Geoffrey Webb, who will oversee
the five regional sales hubs responsible for driving revenue from
global travel agencies and tour operators.
Webb joined the group in 2019 as director of commercial strategy for
its flagship Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok. An Australian national over
three decades of operations and luxury hospitality experience, he will
be relocating to London.
The group's VP regional sales, APAC, Celine Du has been appointed VP
global industry partners, responsible for global corporate and key
account revenue.
Du first joined the group in 2015 as VP sales & marketing,
Greater China. A Chinese national with 25 years of experience in luxury
hospitality, she is based in Hong Kong.
Lanfant will report directly to group chief commercial officer Joanna Flint, with Webb and Du reporting to Lanfant.
