Amanda Hyndman takes on roles of GM, Area VP of Operations and Group Director of Quality and Rooms.
Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group has appointed Amanda Hyndman as general
manager of Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong. She will also take up the
roles of area vice president of operations, and group director of
quality and rooms.
This appointment marks a return to the Group for the British
national, where she previously served as general manager of The
Excelsior, Hong Kong in 2007. An experienced hotelier, Hyndman is no
stranger to the Group that has seen her serve in general manager roles
across the USA, UK and Asia.
In
her new role at Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong, Hyndman also takes on
overall responsibility for operations at The Landmark Mandarin Oriental,
Hong Kong; Mandarin Oriental, Guangzhou; Mandarin Oriental, Macau; and
Mandarin Oriental, Sanya. She will also manage all aspects of global
operational standards as well as rooms division, including front office,
housekeeping and guest services.
