Cedric Nubul has been appointed general manager for the upcoming Hilton Singapore Orchard, launching in January 2022.
Of Hilton's new flagship — also its largest hotel in Asia Pacific — Peter Webster, Senior Director, Operations, South East Asia said that "Cedric’s energetic persona and diverse leadership experience will benefit this exceptional property when guests return to travel post pandemic with expectations of memorable experiences delivered by passionate hospitality professionals".
Nubul joins the pre-opening team with more than 20 years of experience with the Hilton brand, including hotels conversion. Roles included as general manager across the Caribbean and Colombia in the past eight years, as well as stints in France, Spain, Italy, Maldives, and Malaysia.
While in the Americas region, the veteran also received accolades including
General Manager of the Year and President’s Excellence in Leadership Award.
Mandarin Orchard will officially reopen as Hilton Singapore Orchard in January 2022, while the current Hilton Singapore will make way for a voco branded property by InterContinental Hotels Group.
