Destination Asia strengthens its MICE position with a new appointment

Destination Asia has appointed Thomas Stecher as its new regional sales director for Corporate Meetings & Events. With over 20 years of diverse experience in the travel industry, Thomas brings a wealth of expertise to his new role.

Stecher’s background spans various sectors of the travel industry, including hotels, convention centres, DMCs, event agencies, and corporate positions. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Tourism Management & Languages, with a specialisation in French and Spanish, and a master’s degree in hospitality management.

Having worked in the UK, Spain, and Germany, Thomas’s career path eventually led him to Singapore, where he dedicated nearly nine years to an MNC. In his new role, Stecher will spearhead the company’s expansion into regional markets.
