Ann Foo, Grand Hyatt Hong Kong’s new director of sales and marketing has assumed her new role in August, taking the charge to drive commercial objectives and enhance the brand positioning of the hotel.

Foo joined the Hyatt family in 2012 at Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur as a sales manager and have over the years showed her worth, rising up the ranks to director of sales and marketing in 2017.

Foo is described by Hyatt as the epitome of an ‘iron lady’ for her goal-driven, and committed persona who sees no boundaries when setting out to achieve her goals.

During the pandemic, Foo continued upholding the team’s spirits and the hotel’s survival throughout all the uncertainties. She was responsible for bringing two unique F&B concepts — airplane-themed The Grand Getaway and family-friendly themed buffet HYdeout — to life, while also taking the lead in featuring iconic partners for the hotel’s very own Le Petit Chef and BARBIExGHKL experiences.

"I am deeply humbled to have been given the opportunity to join Grand Hyatt Hong Kong and to lead the amazing team of passionate and dynamic talents ready to continue to steal the scene and deliver a great performance for our key stakeholders,” Foo said.

Foo’s mission for the 542-key Grand Hyatt Hong Kong with 21 flexible meeting rooms and event venues is to focus on optimising hotel revenues, enhancing brand reputation, driving innovative marketing campaigns and harnessing the teams' strengths to achieve commercial goals and set new benchmarks.
