Marriott International has launched a new meetings offer for event planners in APAC, specifically those in destinations like Singapore and Hong Kong, where relaxed Covid restrictions allow for small meetings and conferences to take place.
Named 'Be There. The Time is Now', the offer aims to 'reignite the joy of face-to-face meetings' and encourages event planners to transform their ideas into reality (while keeping in line with governing safety measures, of course).
For every meeting or event booking at participating hotels and resorts, planners can pick two of three perks including one complimentary delegate for every 10 paying ones, or one complimentary standard room night for every 15 paid nights, or two times the Marriott Bonvoy points awarded.
In Singapore, Marriott has prepared the country specific 'Double Up' deal which entitles eligible planners to add an extra perk. Some hotels are even offering 'local delights' that highlight one-of-a-kind hidden gems or unique experiences.
At JW Marriott Hotel Singapore South Beach for instance, the local element comes in the form of a themed morning/afternoon coffee break served with Indian teh tarik (pulled tea).
Sheraton Towers Singapore's local-themed coffee break lets guests pick from familiar favourites such as Indian roti john with chilli and mayonnaise, Milo dinosaur pudding, kaya butter soft bun toast, Indian crispy roti prata with curry, Chinese chilled cheng teng dessert or fried carrot cake.
For something less heavy, Courtyard by Marriott Singapore Novena's local curation includes the Nyonya kueh pie tee, Malay chicken satay, and Chinese siew mai.
At W Singapore - Sentosa Cove, delegates can get a 'Taste of Ws', where break-time menus traverse Taipei, Bangkok and Osaka.
Another destination offering tailored local experiences is Indonesia. Across Jakarta, Bali, Surabaya, Bandung and Belitung, these touches range from a Melukat Purifiying Ceremony or a Subak Farming activity at the hotel's in-house rice field. Planners will also receive an additional 5% off the master bill.
Meanwhile, in Hong Kong, planners can include a yoga class in the garden of Sheraton Hong Kong Tung Chung Hotel; or integrate a pre-meeting wellness session at the Hong Kong Ocean Park Marriott Hotel's Aquarium Foyer. Hong Kong SkyCity Marriott is also providing discounted dim sum-making classes.
Other destinations involved are Malaysia, Japan, Korea, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Greater China, South Asia, Phillipines, Australia and New Zealand.
The Time is Now offer is eligible for participating Marriott Bonvoy APAC event bookings made before 31 December, 2021, and held before 31 December, 2022.
