Convention centre next to Hong Kong International Airport launches offer in line with the city’s ‘ticket stub economy’ push.
Visitors attending events at AsiaWorld-Expo (AWE) can now enjoy discounted dining at Hong Kong International Airport under a new partnership aimed at stimulating visitor spending beyond the venue.
From 7 August 2026 to 31 January 2027, holders of valid event tickets or admission credentials can receive 12% off dinner and late-night supper at Lin Heung Lau (HKIA). The offer applies from three days before to three days after eligible events, covering concerts, international conferences, trade exhibitions and other public events held at AWE.
The initiative supports Hong Kong's plans to grow its "ticket stub economy", encouraging visitors to spend more across the wider destination.
Located in the public departures area of Terminal 1, the 24-hour restaurant is connected to AWE by a covered walkway, making it accessible for both business travellers and concertgoers.
The first eligible business event is the 16th Worldwide Chinese Life Insurance Congress & 2026 IDA Annual Conference, taking place from 7 to 10 August. The event is expected to attract more than 10,000 insurance professionals. Another major event, Jewellery & Gem WORLD, will run from 14 to 18 September and is expected to welcome more than 55,000 buyers from over 140 countries and regions.
AWE said it plans to expand similar partnerships with neighbouring businesses and tourism stakeholders, linking business events with dining, retail and visitor experiences to encourage longer stays and greater economic impact.
