Hoiana, scheduled for a grand opening in 2021, will offer more than 1,000 keys from 4 luxury hotels, beach resorts and even a Vietnamese village.
Macau-based enterprise Suncity Group is on track to begin the second
phase development of integrated resort Hoiana in central Vietnam this
year, as part of its expansion plans to tap into the Southeast and East
Asian markets.
Located 40km from Da Nang International Airport, Hoiana's phase one
opening last year covered 165 hectares, including golf course Hoiana
Shores designed by renowned American architect, Robert Trent Jones Jr,
as well as more than 1,000 rooms offered by four luxury hotels managed
and operated by Rosewood Hotel Group. They are Hoiana Hotel &
Suites, New World Hoiana Hotel & Residences, KHOS Hoiana and
Rosewood Hoi An.
For event planners, KHOS Hoiana offers up a selection of event
spaces, while bigger groups can opt for Rosewood Hoi An's The Pavilion —
a free-standing, residential-style area on an outdoor lawn with sea
views.
Phase two of the casino resort will roll ahead in 2021, introducing
more guest rooms, expanding the retail zones, adding beach resorts, a
Vietnamese village, water and adrenaline park, as well as an observation
deck.
In a 5 January statement, Suncity Group announced, "Hoiana will
target at bringing in visitors from Southeast Asia as its main source
markets in the future."
After Vietnam, next up on Suncity's expansion radar is East Asia "to
further target Japanese and Korean travellers". The group plans to build
a resort hotel with 100 rooms and 40 private villas in the Yonaha
Maehama Beach Area, in Miyako Island of Okinawa; and a 20-hectare luxury
resort in Niseko.
It is also actively engaging in the development of the Westside City
Integrated Resort in the heart of Entertainment City in Manila,
Philippines, with the expectations of opening the 20-hectare project
before 2023.
At Tigre de Cristal, a Russian casino resort in Vladivostok in which
Suncity Group Holdings has an interest, Suncity Group also stated in its
recent update that it would “focus on developing local Russian
clientele, while introducing Japanese and Korean travellers to the
resort as the target source market”
Phase two of Tigre de Cristal is set to commence phrase two in 2021,
which will double the number of entertainment facilities as well as
tripling the number of guest rooms.
