Singapore is out in full force at The Meetings Show Asia Pacific (TMS APAC) 2025, with a stronger-than-ever delegation and deepening its commitment to sustainability.

According to Edward Koh, executive director for conventions, meetings & incentive travel at the Singapore Tourism Board, the increased number of participating partners reflects both the strength of Singapore’s MICE sector and the growing significance of TMS APAC in the region.

“Visitors can look forward to meeting 28 partners across DMCs and hotels/venues at the Singapore Pavilion, an increase from TMS 2024,” said Koh. “This increase comes alongside TMS 2025’s return bigger and bolder, with a record number of exhibitors and hosted buyer opportunities nearing full capacity.”

What to expect at the Singapore Pavilion

Attendees can expect a multisensory experience at Stand G10 that goes beyond business matchmaking. Highlights include culinary and hands-on activities that capture Singapore’s culture and creativity.

“We invite visitors to discuss, plan and execute impactful business events in Singapore with our partners,” said Koh. “In between meetings, they can indulge in Singaporean flavours and sustainable workshops.”

The Singapore Pavilion will offer delegates a taste of traditional handmade Nonya kueh, a vibrant part of Singapore’s Peranakan heritage and cultural identity.

On Day 1, visitors can enjoy Nonya kueh from local brand Kueh Ho Jiak, participate in a sustainable carabiner-making session using recycled bottle caps by Semula, and sip on locally inspired cocktails from Mixes from Mars.

Day 2 will feature laksa by Qiji and a tea-blending workshop by Antea Social, where participants can customise and bring home their own tea blend.

Sustainability remains a central theme in STB’s tradeshow efforts. This year’s pavilion will showcase eco-friendly materials and a reduced-waste approach.

“The Singapore Pavilion incorporates recycled plastic tabletops by Semula, carpets made from recycled fibres by Rewind Carpet, and reused components from previous shows, such as the 'Singapore' headboard from The Meetings Show 2024,” Koh shared. “We’re committed to walking the talk, and these choices reflect our sustainability ethos.”

STB recently launched the Decarbonisation Playbook for Tourism Businesses, designed to guide the industry in managing carbon emissions and accelerating sustainable practices.

“The playbook was developed in response to feedback from our industry partners, who wanted more clarity in carbon management,” explained Koh. “It supports attractions, cruise operators, hotels, MICE organisers, and travel agents on their decarbonisation journey.”

What’s new in Singapore’s MICE landscape

Singapore continues to invest in new infrastructure and venues to maintain its position as the 'World’s Best MICE City'.

“We now offer approximately 200,000sqm of gross exhibition space across six purpose-built venues,” said Koh, citing facilities such as Sands Expo & Convention Centre and Singapore Expo.

2024 saw the debut of hotels like Mercure ICON Singapore City Centre, Citadines Science Park Singapore, and Mandai Rainforest Resort by Banyan Tree. New nature-themed attractions such as Rainforest Wild Asia and the Mandai Boardwalk have also launched alongside a dedicated MICE facility, Green Canvas.

Looking ahead, Koh added, “Delegates can anticipate additional MICE space and a 15,000-seat arena as part of Marina Bay Sands’ expansion. Upcoming hotel openings include Mama Shelter, Moxy Singapore Clarke Quay, and new luxury offerings at Resorts World Sentosa.
