The Meetings Show Asia Pacific (TMS APAC) will be making its debut next week, at the Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre from 17-18 April.

With a theme of “Asia Pacific’s Role in Recasting the Global MICE Sector”, the event has attracted over 160 appointment-taking exhibitors and hundreds of buyers from all over the world, featuring five major topics spanning Sustainability, Technology, Workforce Management, Experience Design and Wellness.

Speakers and panellists – leading experts in their fields – will be representing industry providers and users, providing a forum and platform for all MICE industry stakeholders to share challenges and opportunities openly in the interest of advancing the sector’s driving growth.

MICE set to roar in Asia

Asia is poised for astronomical growth in the MICE sector – the recent PULSE survey conducted by Northstar and Cvent Meetings has shown that APAC-based meeting planners are more optimistic about their meetings and events than their counterparts in North America and the EMEA regions.

“The Meetings Show Asia Pacific is the largest organic event launch – by every measure – in the history of Northstar,” said David Blansfield, executive VP and group publisher, Northstar Travel Group. “The performance of the event alone is a testament to the current importance and the future potential for MICE industry growth throughout the APAC region.”

This optimism is reflected in TMS APAC’s sessions, which feature discussions headed by experts including Michael Shoory, head of APAC Tourism Analysis, Tourism Economics, and June Kim, on behalf of the Global MICE Collective (MPI, IAEE and SITE).

Innovative tech at the heart of show

TMS APAC will also feature the use of several new technologies, including the debut of Gevme’s newly released Snapsight – an AI-powered solution that extracts valuable insights from event content in real-time.

The event will also be working with Zenus to provide speakers and exhibitors with behavioural experience analytics via facial analysis technology, and Pigeonhole Live to showcase multi-language interactive functionality during sessions.

On the event show floor, Cinewav will be providing an immersive experience on the emotional significance of travel, and Body and Brain Wellness will provide attendees with aura readings using their biofeedback imaging systems.

Attendees who participate in the EIC sessions provided at TMS APAC will also earn credits toward their Sustainable Event Professional Certificate, a valuable designation as sustainability continues to be a key driver of change in the industry.

Event professionals interested in attending can register on the event website, and should mark their calendars for 23-24 April 2025 when the event will return.
