The International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE) has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Exhibitor Group.

Exhibitor Group is a publisher as well as a producer of ExhibitorLive, an exhibition for trade show and corporate event professionals.

The acquisition brings together two US-based players in the exhibitions and events industry to create a community that spans the complete event lifecycle and value chain.

IAEE members are expected to gain access to expanded resources, insights, and networking opportunities with exhibit and brand managers; while the Exhibitor Group community will benefit from connections to organisers and suppliers, plus professional and personal development tools.

"This acquisition reflects our commitment to building a more comprehensive and inclusive exhibitions and events industry," said Marsha Flanagan, president and CEO of IAEE. "By expanding our universe to include the vital perspectives of exhibit and brand managers, we're creating a unified space where all voices are heard and represented.”

STAR Exhibits & Environments CEO Mark Johnson had acquired Exhibitor Group in 2022 to preserve the important industry voice during a time of uncertainty and disruption post-Covid-19. “As we grew our overall experiential marketing business, we recognised that Exhibitor needed a dedicated owner to fully realise its potential,” said Mark Johnson, CEO.

The acquisition is expected to be finalised by 30 April 2026.
