IAPCO announces new board and president-elect

Taiwan’s GIS Group CEO Jason Yeh to take on global leadership role.

Jason Yeh, CEO of GIS Group in Taiwan has been voted as president-elect of the International Association of Professional Congress Organisers (IAPCO). Yeh will formally be made president at the next Annual Meeting & General Assembly (AM&CA) in 2027.

IAPCO is the global accreditation body for professional congress organisers (PCOs), with more than 90 member companies operating across offices worldwide and a collective impact measured in tens of thousands of meetings annually.

GIS Group, under Yeh’s leadership, has been a long-standing member of IAPCO and other global event bodies, and has played a role in promoting Taiwan as a meetings & events destination, including hosting the IAPCO Annual Meeting in Taipei in 2025.

Unveiled at the association’s AM&CA in Athens, Greece last week, newly declared members include Ginerva De Bellis, Oic Group, Italy; Benoit Dubuisson, Downtown Europe, Belgium; and Jessica Ferguson, Arinex, Australia.

They will join existing leadership comprising current president Sissi Lignou, AFEA Congress, Greece; Jimena Ruiz, Business Travel Consulting, Mexico; Stephen Noble, The Conference Company, Australia/New Zealand; and Ajay Bhojwani, MCI Middle East, UAE. Giulia Sarri, AIM Group International, Italy replaces Nicola Testai.

Members who have been co-opted include Alexandros Terzis, (Emerging Leader Committee chair) ERA Congresses and events, Greece and Amit Saroj, IA Meetings, Singapore and India (AM&GA 2027 Host).
