To celebrate Global Wellness Day on 12 June, Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group will run a series of live-streamed events online.
The ‘24-Hours of Wellness’ itinerary will see wellness experts from across its global hotels host wellbeing experiences designed to build participants’ inner and outer strength.
Hosted live each hour from individual Mandarin Oriental property Instagram accounts, sessions include a mediation session in Tokyo, virtual cooking class led by a nutritionist in London, mat pilates class in Abu Dhabi, tennis movement practice session with the hotel’s PBI Tennis Pro in Kuala Lumpur, yoga class in Bangkok, and postural therapy in Boston.
“During these challenging times, physical health and mental wellness are more important than ever. Through this curated programme to support Global Wellness Day, we are providing our Fans with the opportunity to experience strengthening, calming and life-affirming experiences, wherever they may be in the world,” said Jeremy McCarthy, group director of spa & wellness.
McCarthy will be opening and closing the 24-hour series with a discussion on Inner Strength – Outer Strength, highlighting learnings from the group’s recent initiatives to help Fans of the Group build strength during the time of the pandemic.
On 12 June, activities will begin at 12:00 AM BST / 7:00 AM HKT / 7:00 PM -1 EST for 24 hours. The full calendar of complimentary activities can be found here.
