Doltone Hospitality Group has unveiled plans for a major new events venue at Sydney/Warrane’s Darling Harbour, positioning it as a centrepiece of the precinct’s next phase of redevelopment.
The company says Doltone House Harbourside will provide more than 4,500sqm of flexible event space for as many as 1,250 guests, on top of a dedicated business centre for meetings and conferences.
A 3,500sqm landscaped rooftop garden is planned above the event space, forming part of a wider network of public areas in the Harbourside precinct.
“This is a defining moment for our business and for the future of events in Australia,” said Doltone Hospitality Group executive chairman Paul Signorelli, adding that the project was intended to deliver a technologically advanced venue capable of hosting large-scale events.
Doltone House Harbourside venue is slated to open in late 2027, and is already starting to accept bookings.
The events venue forms part of Mirvac’s plans for a 2.05ha development with about 33,500sqm of office space, 10,000sqm of shopping, entertainment and hospitality uses and approximately 263 apartments in a 42-storey tower. Proposed public works include the rooftop Waterfront Gardens and a widened waterfront promenade.
The site lies between Pyrmont Bridge and ICC Sydney, with access planned from the waterfront promenade and future links towards the new Pyrmont Metro station.
