The southeastern Vietnamese province of Binh Duong, part of the
country's Southern Key Economic Zone, has introduced two new MICE
venues, in keeping with its status as the country's new hub for foreign
direct investment.
The 22,000sqm WTC EXPO, part of the World Trade Center Binh Duong New
City complex in downtown Binh Duong New City, caters to large-scale
trade shows, exhibitions, international conferences and events.
Managed by WTC Binh Duong New City, the entire
venue can accommodate a maximum of 10,000 people, with indoor halls and
event spaces totalling 11,617 sqm, in addition to a 10,000 sqm outdoor
exhibition area.
While the WTC EXPO facility was completed in March 2021, it was
temporarily converted into a field hospital with a capacity for 1,500
beds at the height of the Covid-19 pandemic in Vietnam, before reopening
as a tradeshow and exhibition facility in November 2021.
The World Trade Center Binh Duong New City complex is an integrated
development incorporating the exhibition and convention facilities with
commercial areas, an office building, a shopping mall, a multi-purpose
stadium, and a central square. It also features its own metro station,
with direct links to central Ho Chi Minh City.
There's also the Binh Duong Convention & Exhibition Center
(BCEC), which is located next to the Becamex Hotel Binh Duong New City.
The BCEC features a multi-purpose grand ballroom, which can be
reconfigured into four smaller meeting rooms; an auditorium and stage
with capacity for 1,400 guests; as well as six meeting rooms with sizes
ranging from 40 to 140 sqm.
