Chef and restaurateur Matt Moran, who owns some of Sydney’s
best-known dining venues, has joined the city’s Accor Stadium as
culinary ambassador.
Moran, who will also be working in the same capacity at the Optus
Stadium in Perth/Boorloo in Western Australia, is bringing his food
philosophy to the venues, emphasising quality alongside fresh and
seasonal produce. Moran and his team are delivering food and beverage
experiences for match-day corporate events and non-event day functions
and events at Accor Stadium.
The venue has 16 function rooms and can accommodate guests in private
suites, lounges and boxes from 8-20 guests, with larger events hosting
up to 8,000 people.
At Optus Stadium, Moran’s menus are initially available in premium
spaces, and will later be expanded to private suites and other functions
including gala dinners, conferences and events. Optus Stadium
accommodates events for up to 2,000 guests, with more than 20 function
spaces and 101 private suites suitable for events of all sizes.
Commenting on his appointment, Moran said: “I’m looking forward to
sharing my food philosophy with the chefs who cater for such large
numbers of guests at every event. At the heart of everything I do is a
passion for quality produce that is fresh and seasonal, and I’m excited
by the challenge of bringing my food philosophy to life at this
fantastic venue, which hosts our favourite footy teams, major concerts
and so many business, community and cultural events off the playing
fields.”
Moran has won a number of awards and written several cookbooks and
