Kaohsiung Exhibition Center's GBAC application is said to "the most thoughtful and complete".
Taiwan's Kaohsiung Exhibition Center (KEC) has achieved the ‘GBAC
Star Facility’ accreditation, in recognition of the measures the venue
has adopted with regards to stringent cleaning, disinfection, and
prevention of infectious diseases.
The Global Biorisk Advisory Council (GBAC), a division of ISSA, the
worldwide cleaning industry association, sets strict standards for its
accreditation programme.
The council says it relies on a 20-element quality management
programme, which encourages a complete system to prevent and respond to
the outbreak of infectious diseases, such as compliance with laws and
regulations, professionally trained cleaning staff, and comprehensive
emergency response measures. These indicators are currently recognised
as global epidemic prevention certification indicators for venues.
According to GBAC Star implementation unit, KEC's certification
application form was "the most thoughtful and complete" among all the
submissions it received.
