Hong Kong Disneyland's (HKDL) Unique Private Event Packages are luring corporations to host buyout events. The largest buy-out event the resort recently hosted was for a top insurance firm, featuring a tailored programme at the Castle of Magical Dreams, which included a singing performance, and its latest nighttime spectacular “Momentous.” Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse also made a surprise appearance. When social distancing measures were lifted, HKDL saw a 40% increase in business inquiries. The resort has been hosting private events from 500 guests in theatres to 4,000 guests.

Another buy-out event for a MNC toy company was well received, with the company’s spokesperson saying, “HKDL is the ideal location for us to show appreciation to our staff. The smiles on our employees’ faces and the numerous ‘thank you’ notes we received once again prove the incredible contributions by the HKDL team to this event, which allowed our corporate employees to enjoy an unforgettable day. We were particularly fond of the group picture we snapped in front of the Castle of Magical Dreams.”

New offerings

Besides Disney’s Hollywood Hotel’s re-opening in July with a new lobby and revamped restaurants, the world’s first Frozen themed venue, “World of Frozen,” will also open this November. A new corporate event package, Marvel-Themed Land Buy-Out Event at Tomorrowland, invites guests to dive into the Marvel Universe, enjoying the themed rides and attractions, and themed buffet and treats.

Corporate Experience Day

Earlier this month, HKDL hosted a Corporate Experience Day that attracted over 200 guests from more than 100 corporations to experience the "Marvel Season of Super Heroes – Corporate Experience Day." Business partners from Hong Kong, Mainland China and South Korea immersed themselves in the Marvel universe and enjoyed the nighttime spectacular “Momentous” in the reserved viewing area. The show took guests through six significant life chapters with a multi-sensory experience

At the “Marvel-Themed Land Buy-out event at Tomorrowland” guests enjoyed the opening performance of Iron Man and dived into various Marvel-themed rides and attractions, including HKDL’s exclusive “Iron Man Experience” and “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Nano Battle”.

They also indulged in a Marvel-themed buffet at the Starliner Diner, with Marvel-themed treats featuring characters such as Groot, Spider-Man, Iron Man, and Captain America.

Themed food and merchandise

Various Marvel-themed merchandise were available such as Groot shoulder plushes and Marvel headbands. At the end of the party, guests met the “super heroes” face-to-face with the new immersive processional, “Calling All Heroes: Avengers and Heroes of Tomorrow Assemble!” The giant LED screen on the Tomorrowland Stage was on hand as a great tool for the corporates to showcase their own visuals.

“Disney Gourmet Journey,” provides a cozy atmosphere, serving award-winning cuisine, where HKDL’s chefs demonstrate their culinary expertise and engage with customers directly. Locations such as the Snow White Ballroom and Cinderella Ballroom are suitable for hosting high-end corporate meetings. Meanwhile, the Victorian-inspired Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel provides corporate banquet packages.
