Potential partners may propose concepts involving venue naming, branded content and more.
AsiaWorld-Expo has invited global companies to submit expressions of interest for naming rights and strategic partnerships for a planned indoor Super Arena at its Phase 2 development in Hong Kong.
The venue, intended to hold more than 20,000 spectators, is part of AsiaWorld-Expo’s expansion at Hong Kong International Airport. Construction of Phase 2 is targeted for completion by the end of 2028.
The company said the arena would support concerts, sporting events, exhibitions, conventions and other large-scale events. It is planned with tiered seating, 360-degree audiovisual capability and flexible configurations, including centre-stage and end-stage formats.
The arena is also expected to include 30 VIP suites with hospitality, catering and priority access. AsiaWorld-Expo said it had consulted industry stakeholders during the initial research stage to better understand event requirements and market trends.
Phase 2 to expand exhibition space
Once completed, the Phase 2 project will lift AsiaWorld-Expo’s exhibition space from about 70,000sqm to 100,000sqm. The company said the enlarged site would connect indoor and outdoor spaces across both phases, allowing organisers to combine exhibitions, conventions, live entertainment, food and lifestyle areas, markets and brand activations.
The development forms part of SKYTOPIA, the Airport City project at Hong Kong International Airport. Related works include the first phase of Airport Bay Marina, scheduled for completion in 2028, and planned autonomous transport links connecting SKYTOPIA with the Hong Kong Port of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge and Tung Chung.
Airport location positioned as gateway
AsiaWorld-Expo is located next to Hong Kong International Airport. The company said the site benefits from air links to more than 220 destinations worldwide, as well as transport connections to the Greater Bay Area through the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, the Airport Express and cross-boundary networks.
The venue operator said the expanded Terminal 2 would further support passenger capacity and cross-boundary connectivity, strengthening the site’s role for international visitors and regional audiences.
Brands invited to submit proposals
The expression-of-interest process covers naming rights and strategic venue alliances for the flagship arena. AsiaWorld-Expo said potential partners may propose concepts involving venue naming, branded content, ticketing platforms, event promotions, social media, on-site experiences and corporate hospitality.
Irene Chan, chief executive of AsiaWorld-Expo, said Phase 2 would connect Hong Kong, the Greater Bay Area and international markets through major events and brand partnerships.
