As a melting pot of cultures and traditions, Indonesia offers a rich tapestry of experiences for events seeking unique and memorable settings. The MICE segment holds a pivotal role in Indonesia's tourism landscape, contributing a significant 70% of total visitor spending, surpassing other forms of leisure and special interest travel. One venue that is making strides in embracing change to welcome global and regional events is Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE).

ICE is a prominent convention and exhibition centre located in BSD City, Tangerang, Indonesia. South-west of Jakarta, it is one of the largest and most modern facilities in Indonesia, designed to host various events, including conventions, exhibitions, trade shows, concerts, and conferences.

It takes less than 20 minutes to drive from Soekarno-Hatta International Airport to ICE. Since its opening in 2015 till July 2023, ICE has hosted some 2,500 international and national events and anticipates steady growth with its recent developments.

Adrian Nugraha Indra, deputy head of sales, ICE, said: “Firstly, ICE has implemented a game-changing enhancement with the establishment of a dedicated exit toll, streamlining access for attendees and ensuring smooth traffic flow in and out of the venue. This strategic improvement demonstrates ICE's commitment to optimising visitor experience and accessibility, further strengthening its position as a preferred destination for events in the region.

“Secondly, ICE has elevated its F&B offerings with a carefully curated new development in its menu selection. Attendees can now savour an array of delectable culinary delights that cater to diverse tastes and preferences. The venue's focus on culinary innovation reflects its dedication to providing a comprehensive and delightful experience for guests, ensuring that every aspect of their visit is a true feast for the senses.

“Lastly, ICE has been embracing innovation in advertising by introducing LED banner placements within its state-of-the-art premises. This forward-looking move empowers event organisers and sponsors to captivate audiences with dynamic, eye-catching displays, taking brand visibility to unprecedented heights. The LED banner advertising not only enriches the overall event ambiance but also opens up a new feature for engagement and sponsorship opportunities, offering a cutting-edge advantage for businesses seeking impactful exposure. The LED is expected to launch at the end of 2023.”
