The new officers will serve two-year terms, beginning 1 July.
The World PCO Alliance announced its newly elected leaders at its annual general meeting on 26 May, with VP Nancy Tan appointed as the alliance's new president, taking over Noel Mitchell of Keynote PCO.
André Vietor of Spain’s BCO Congresos is the new vice president, and Sumate Sudasna of Thailand’s Conference and Destination Management (CDM) will serve as treasurer.
The new officers will serve two-year terms, beginning 1 July.
“I am very honoured to assume this new role,” said Tan, who is managing director of Singapore-based Ace:Daytons Direct, and also one of the alliance’s founding partners.
Added new VP Vietor: "These are critical times for our profession and the whole meetings industry, and we are ready to lead the change towards a new era post-Covid.”
Kaoru Shibuta, executive managing director, Congrès Inc. was re-appointed as the alliance’s secretary-general and the secretariat will continue to be managed by the company, based in Japan.
Founded in 2009, the World PCO Alliance is comprised of 20 leading PCOs in the meetings industry globally.
