The global exhibition organiser continues to grow its ASEAN portfolio, confirmed events for 2021 include Malaysia International Furniture Fair in March, and Intermach Thailand in May.
Global exhibition organiser Informa Markets has announced a
leadership reshuffle following the departure of M. Gandhi, who will be
stepping down as group managing director & senior vice president of
the ASEAN business. He helmed this position for more than 20 years.
Taking over the company's business in Southeast Asia is Margaret Ma
Connolly, current Asia president & CEO, supported by Chris Kilbee,
executive director, ASEAN. The move is another step forward for
Connolly, who only assumed her CEO position in January this year.
"We are grateful for Gandhi's contributions in building up Informa
Markets' business in Southeast Asia over the years, which combined
together with our extensive portfolio in Mainland China, Hong Kong,
India, Japan, Korea and Taiwan, makes us a leader in Asia," said
Connolly.
The brand's presence in Asia comprises more than 230 trade events
held annually across 12 countries, covering sectors such as furniture,
food and hospitality, energy, beauty and cosmetics, and machinery. Some
ASEAN events include the Malaysia International Furniture Fair in March
2021, and Intermach Thailand in May 2021.
