Edward Snoeks takes the helm at new Chiang Mai hotel

Snoeks moves on from Kempinski to a new bleisure hotel in northern Thailand.

Edward Snoeks has been appointed General Manager at the soon-to-open Meliá Chiang Mai.

Most recently, he managed the pre-opening of Sindhorn Kempinski Hotel Bangkok & The Residences. Prior to that, he was the general manager at another hotel in the Thai capital city, The Okura Prestige Bangkok.

Snoeks' experience in Asia also counts his time as general manager at Crowne Plaza Hong Kong Causeway Bay and as vice president of hotel operations at Hong Kong Parkview Hotel Services.

The 260-key Meliá Chiang Mai is scheduled to open in the fourth quarter of this year in Chiang Mai’s city centre.
