Jeanette Stanton has been appointed events project manager for
Business Events Industry Aotearoa (BEIA), New Zealand’s business events
association, formerly known as CINZ (Conventions and Incentives New
Zealand).
With 20 years of experience up her sleeves, Stanton is no newcomer to
New Zealand’s tourism and trade industry, joining BEIA after six years
serving as marketing and business events services manager with Auckland
Convention Bureau. Before that, she was part of the CINZ team,
organising key events such as the annual MEETINGS. The 2021 edition is
set for 2-3 June at the ASB Showgrounds.
“I am thrilled Jen is returning to the BEIA team, staying in an
industry she clearly loves. With a focus on MEETINGS 2021, and other
important projects designed to support members and grow our industry,
Jen will find her experience and collaborative approach highly valued,"
said BEIA chief executive, Lisa Hopkins.
Hopkins also acknowledged Stanton's passion in "growing the profile
of the New Zealand business events industry, and [how] she takes
particular pride in collaboration, building relationships and
partnerships".
Stanton will begin her new role at BEIA on 15 February, 2021.
