Deal to add four IHG brands to the Green Paradise Can Gio coastal development.
IHG Hotels & Resorts has entered a strategic partnership with developer Cangio Tourist City Corporation to introduce four hotels with more than 1,000 rooms at the Vinhomes Green Paradise Can Gio coastal project in southeastern Ho Chi Minh City.
The partnership also marks a strategic collaboration with Vingroup through its hospitality arm Vinpearl, which will oversee implementation and operations coordination.
Under the agreement, the project will introduce four IHG brands to the 2,870ha mixed-use development. InterContinental Saigon Can Gio and Crowne Plaza Saigon Can Gio will each add 400 rooms, while Holiday Inn Express Saigon Can Gio and Garner Hotel Saigon Can Gio are each expected to add 130 rooms.
The Holiday Inn Express and Garner Hotel properties – each making a first-time appearance in Vietnam – are expected to open in 2028, followed by the InterContinental and Crowne Plaza hotels in 2030.
Once completed, the four properties will contribute to a combined 7,000-room accommodation ecosystem planned for Vinhomes Green Paradise, a scale that could support sizeable MICE demand.
Located some 13 minutes from central Ho Chi Minh City, the urban coastal development is bordered by the sea on three sides and adjacent to the UNESCO-recognised Can Gio Mangrove Biosphere Reserve.
Beyond hotel inventory, the wider Can Gio project is positioned as a large-scale tourism and resort hub, with planned attractions including a VinWonders theme park, cruise port, golf courses and entertainment venues aimed at driving year-round visitation.
IHG currently operates 23 hotels in Vietnam, with 20 more in the pipeline.
