Shangri-La Group has officially debuted in Cambodia with the opening of Shangri-La Phnom Penh since 28 December 2024.

Located in the heart of Koh Pich, one of the city’s most vibrant neighbourhoods, the hotel is part of an architectural marvel: a tri-tower complex that stands 228 metres tall, making it one of the tallest structures in the capital.

Guests can choose from 303 elegantly designed rooms and suites, each offering sweeping views of the confluence of the Mekong, Tonle Sap, and Tonle Bassac rivers. Blending Art Deco, Neo-Classical, and Khmer cultural influences, the interiors reflect Shangri-La’s signature elegance, complemented by warm wood, natural stones, and floor-to-ceiling windows that flood the spaces with light.

Shangri-La Phnom Penh is designed with facilities to cater to the needs of both leisure and business visitors. Home to one of the city’s largest ballrooms, the hotel is positioned as a premier venue for major events, conferences, and social gatherings, contributing to the growth of Cambodia’s business events industry.

The hotel’s dining offerings celebrate Cambodia’s rich culinary heritage. Kommune Dining & Social Space invites guests to savor traditional Khmer dishes such as Beef Lok Lak and Fish Amok, crafted from locally sourced ingredients to support regional farmers.

Looking ahead, the hotel’s culinary offerings will expand with the opening of Shang Palace, the Shangri-La Group’s signature Chinese restaurant, as well as Altitude rooftop bar, set to bring a new level of vibrancy to Phnom Penh with breathtaking sunset views, innovative cocktails, and light bites. Both venues are set to open in 2025.

During its phase-one opening, Shangri-La Phnom Penh offers a select number of rooms for booking, as well as access to Kommune Dining & Social Space, Mekong Lounge, and The Atelier. Phase two, set for Q1 2025, will unveil additional rooms, an infinity pool, a spa wellness center, and the highly anticipated Shang Palace and Altitude rooftop bar, one of the tallest in Cambodia.
