HONG KONG — Langham Hospitality Group will manage its third luxury hotel in Australia, with the opening of The Langham Gold Coast in 2021.
With a beachfront location in Surfers Paradise, the 169-room hotel is part of the three-tower Jewel development, which includes 170 serviced apartments (also managed by Langham). This is first and largest development with direct beach access to be built in the coastal city within the last 30 years.
The Langham, Gold Coast is located between the third and 20th floors while the residences are on the 22nd to 49th floors, which promises stunning city and ocean views.
For meetings, the luxury hotel will offer a 700-sqm ballroom with an additional four meeting rooms with a total of 450 sqm, and a multi-function room at 500 sqm.
While hotel interiors reflect a 'coast meets city' theme, F&B options will include afternoon tea in the lobby lounge, an 80-seat sky terrace bar that overlooks the ocean, and T’ang Court, the signature Cantonese restaurant which will extend the reputation of its Michelin-starred counterparts at The Langham hotels in Hong Kong and Shanghai. The restaurant will feature two private dining rooms, ideal for exclusive events while the main area seats 90 guests.
“Combining the cosmopolitan vibrancy and relaxed lifestyle for which the Gold Coast is renowned will certainly position The Langham as the quintessential luxury urban resort,” said Stefan Leser, chief executive officer of Langham Hospitality Group. “We are very much looking forward to complementing our legendary service standards with the warmth of this beautiful city to make our all guests’ experiences celebratory and memorable.”
