This opening marks Swiss-Belhotel International's 75th hotel in Indonesia, and a further cementing of the group's presence in the country's eastern region.
Swiss-Belhotel International has opened its first 4-star hotel on
Indonesia's Biak Island, offering 102 rooms and event spaces for
business guests.
Located in the northern coast of Papua, the Swiss-Belhotel
Cendrawasih offers event planners the choice of seven meeting rooms
hosting up to 200 guests, or three multi-functional ballrooms which can
hold up to 800 guests.
Amenities include the all-day dining Swiss-Café restaurant, a pool, fitness centre and spa.
Biak is adjacent to the Hadi supermarket and department store — the
largest shopping center on the island, and is nearby major transport
links such as the Frans Kaisipo International Airport (under 4km away)
and Biak seaport (less than 2km away).
This opening marks Swiss-Belhotel International's 75th hotel in
Indonesia, and the 5th hotel in the Papua region after Jayapura,
Manokwari, Merauke, and Sorong — further strengthening the group's
presence in East Indonesia.
Gavin M. Faull, Swiss-Belhotel International Chairman, and President
added that the group "recognises the potential of Indonesia and we are
excited to have a strong presence in Papua with the opening of
Swiss-Belhotel Cendrawasih, Biak. This hotel promises to be instrumental
in enhancing the city to become a popular destination in Papua".
