Resorts World Manila has rebranded as Newport World Resorts, with the new change effective 20 July.
“The name change reflects a shift in perspective for the brand to
present itself as the most innovative, dynamic, and comprehensive
casino, hotels, and entertainment complex in the country," said the
integrated resort in a statement.
“Newport World Resorts is reinventing the brand to bring together its
pioneering integrated resorts and the best of its community within the
sprawling Newport City complex,” the statement added.
The integrated resort, located in a sprawling multi-use complex
called Newport City, is directly connected to Ninoy Aquino International
Airport's Terminal 3 via a footbridge.
Newport World Resorts is operated by Travellers International Hotel
Group, a joint venture between Philippine conglomerate Alliance Global
Group and the Genting group. Launched in 2009, the complex currently
houses seven hotels: Marriott Manila Hotel, Sheraton Manila Hotel,
Hilton Manila, Hotel Okura Manila, Savoy Hotel Manila, Belmont Hotel
Manila and Holiday Inn Express Manila.
Genting's Resorts World brand portfolio includes integrated resort destinations in Malaysia, Singapore, and Las Vegas.
