Radisson Hotel Group has signed Radisson Hotel & Suites Bay of Lights Sihanoukville, a 176-key property set to open in early 2029 within the Gateway District of the Bay of Lights, a mixed-use township on Cambodia’s southern coast.
Situated in the Bay of Lights International Convention Center (BICC) district, the property will be surrounded by retail outlets, duty-free shopping, and a golf course. Planned infrastructure upgrades – including the relocation of the administrative center in 2026, expansion of Sihanoukville Airport, and the operational Phnom Penh-Sihanoukville Expressway – will enhance connectivity, supporting projected annual visitor numbers of 650,000.
Sihanoukville, a deep-water port city, is being transformed into a multi-purpose Special Economic Zone (SEZ) by 2038.
The new Radisson hotel will offer rooms and serviced apartments with panoramic ocean views, three dining outlets, a rooftop pool, spa, fitness centre, and proximity to the CBD and private beaches.
Ramzy Fenianos, chief development officer, APAC, Radisson Hotel Group, said: “Sihanoukville offers a unique blend of coastal beauty and economic potential, and this property is strategically located to capture growth in the Bay of Lights development.”
With Sihanoukville drawing approximately five million visitors in 2024, Radisson hopes to meet “high-end hospitality demand, combining business event capabilities with leisure offerings for domestic and international guests”.
The signing strengthens Radisson’s footprint in Cambodia, adding to its upcoming Radisson Blu Phnom Penh and Radisson RED Phnom Penh openings in 2027.
Radisson Hotel Group operates over 1,580 hotels across more than 100 countries, with brands including Radisson Blu, Radisson RED, Radisson Collection, Park Plaza, and more. The group also offers Radisson Meetings, providing tailored solutions for conferences and events.
